Moselland
[vain englanniksi]
Riesling, the most important variety grown in the Mosel region, is considered by experts to be the most noble white grape in the world. Unlike any other variety, the late-ripening Riesling produces wines of great elegance and finesse which have a pronounced and racy fruitiness. As a result of our tradition and many years' experience in making excellent Rieslings, we are proud to call ourselves " Die Rieslingexperten". We have 2.705 member-growers cultivating around 2,290 hectares in the Mosel, Nahe, Pfalz and Rheinhessen regions, the majority of the vineyards are steep and very labour intensive. With over 50% of this area planted with Riesling, this makes us one of the largest producers of Riesling worldwide today. Whilst we specialise in Riesling, this does not rule out diversity and we produce a range of varieties including Elbling, Rivaner, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and two red varieties: Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. Our wines are hand-crafted to the highest standard. At Moselland quality begins right in the vineyard. Our wine-growers are experts in vineyard management, from planting to harvesting, thus they produce grapes of the highest quality which are delivered to our pressing and collection stations right next to the vineyards. Here our highly-qualified staff take over the vinification process using the most up-to-date equipment. Environmentally friendly viticulture yields the best results. At Moselland we are helping to maintain the balance of nature. We work hand in hand with our growers and advise them on all aspects of viticulture, from establishing the best possible sites for individual varieties right down to harvesting dates. Vineyards are cultivated in accordance with the principles of environmentally friendly viticulture. The results are there for all to see and enjoy: harvesting dates tailored to individual sites guarantee healthy, fully ripe grapes. In this way, Moselland is able to produce high quality wines with intense aromas, full of varietal character.

Pullo kuin taideteos
Viini on valmistettu Moselin viinilaakson tyypillisimmästä rypäleestä Rieslingistä.
